Scalp Problems That Can Lead to Hair Loss

A number of problems cause hair loss in both men and women. Out of these, scalp problems are a major reason for hair loss and thinning. Diseases and illnesses can also cause baldness, out of which high fever, notably scarlet and typhoid fevers are a major cause of baldness in both men and women. Other health problems such as thyroid disease, deficiency of iron and cancer are also common causes of baldness. Deficiency of thyroid hormone and iron can lead to hair loss, and replacement of iron and thyroid hormone can result in prompt re growth of the hair.
